Welcome to La Parenthèse de Saint-Esselin, a little corner of nature in Larreule, in the heart of the Hautes‑Pyrénées.
Spanning one hectare, we have created a family-friendly, welcoming and cosy retreat, offering a perfect blend of comfortable accommodation and a relaxing atmosphere.
Here, you immediately get the sense that time can slow down.
In the morning, you can enjoy the peace and quiet, the soft light, and a coffee on the terrace. During the day, everyone goes at their own pace: reading, swimming, walking, or having a nap (yes, a proper one).
The estate offers two holiday cottages, safari lodges and ‘bare’ pitches for camping enthusiasts.

Our holiday cottages in the Hautes‑Pyrénées have been tastefully renovated, showcasing the region’s beautiful stonework whilst offering modern comforts.
The 6-person holiday home has 3 bedrooms, including a loft bed for children, 2 bathrooms and a living area bathed in light thanks to its large bay window.
The 5-person holiday home, ideal for families, offers 2 bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with 3 single beds, for practical and enjoyable stays.
The spaces have been designed to encourage socialising and allow you to enjoy moments of true relaxation.
And to help you travel light, bed linen and towels are provided and included in the rental price.

In Larreule, you can visit an ancient abbey. According to the *Gallia Christiana*, the abbey is said to have been founded by Odon I, Viscount of Montaner.
The monastery was situated on the route of the GR 101, continuing on from the Via Tolosana, one of the four pilgrimage routes in France leading to Santiago de Compostela.
• Lourdes, Pau, Tarbes: around 30 to 45 minutes away
• Marciac: about 20 minutes away, famous for its summer jazz festival.
There are some lovely walks starting from the village, particularly in the Larreule Forest (around 80 hectares). It’s the perfect way to get some fresh air without having to drive.
The nearest ski resorts are about 1 hour and 20 minutes away: perfect for a winter getaway.
